Story

Hello! 👋🏼

Thanks for stopping by. If you want to check out my full story, look me up on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidmdyer/

This fundraiser is highly personal for me, as well as being for an amazing charity who make a huge difference.

I caught Covid, yes the really nasty one, in early March 2020, which then progressed to Long Covid, leaving me totally debilitated. Going for a walk was difficult, and stairs were a challenge!

Fast forward 3.5 years, and after starting my journey of recovery 15 months ago, I am now about to climb all 5895 metres or 19,341 ft of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, the tallest freestanding mountain and the 5th tallest mountain in the world.

At the beginning of our 7 day trek, we will be walking through rainforests in sweltering 28+ degree heat. By days 5 & 6, we will be scaling the peak in -15 to -20 degree Arctic conditions, surrounded by Glaciers and Ice Fields!

What craziness is this? Why?

It's all for a UK humanitarian charity called Hope4, who are working to fight poverty and human trafficking, as well as supporting tens of thousands of refugees, children, and those impacted by natural disaster across Europe from their base in the UK and Moldova, Europe's poorest country.

Every week they help feed 20,000 people, many of which are Ukrainian refugees, children, widows and people who just need help.

They provide emergency support, like winter coats for children, as temperatures get down to -20 in winter.

Having also resumed UK operations distributing food, sourced from a long standing relationship with FareShareUk, to the most vulnerable in our communities who are struggling and living in severe food poverty.

Hope4 is set and ready to scale and emulate all that they are doing in Moldova, by expanding operations nationwide throughout the UK.

Your support can be the difference between life and death for those in need.

Your generous donation, no matter the amount, will go directly towards providing immediate assistance and long-term solutions.

Here are some of the ways Hope4 is making a difference:

🌟 With just £10, we can ensure that street children have a meal today, providing them with sustenance and nourishment.

🌟 A donation of £50 can feed a family of four for an entire week, relieving their hunger and providing them with essential nutrition.

🌟 Your contribution of £100 can provide safety and protection for a mother and her children, shielding them from domestic violence and offering them a chance for a better future.

🌟 By donating £250, you can provide nourishment and sustenance for a whole orphanage, ensuring that the children have access to regular meals for an entire week.

🌟 With a donation of £1,000, we can safeguard victims of human trafficking, offering them support, rehabilitation, and a path towards a brighter and safer future.

🌟 A generous contribution of £5,000 enables us to organize a summer camp for orphans, providing them with joyful experiences, education, and a sense of belonging.

🌟 With £10,000, we can provide comprehensive IT training to an entire school for a year, equipping students with valuable skills for their future success.
