Story
Hi everyone in case you are wondering the fat bloke is me!
On Saturday June 15th I am abseiling The 100 metre high Spinnaker Tower at Gun Wharf Quay in Portsmouth to raise money for an amazing charity called Abby's Heroes who do amazing work supporting the families of young children diagnosed with cancer.
As many of you will know I am in fact a 'Scummer' so to visit Portsmouth is very hard for me and worth a sizable donation just for that! :)
Please give what you can, I thank you in advance for your generosity.
If I can get to a £1000 I will do it in a Portsmouth shirt!!!!
Abby's Heroes:
Every year, having discovered the news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer, families enter either the Piam Brown Ward for 0-16yr olds, or the TYA Teenage and Young Adults Ward 16-24yrs at UHS University Hospital Southampton. The whole ethos of Abby's Heroes is to place our arm around the shoulders of these families and support them during this journey. We offer Financial Grants to help with the financial burden of having your child diagnosed, Practical support, Memory Making grants, Welfare Packs, Counselling service for the entire family, as well as two evening meals and a picnic lunch every week. Every single penny is vital to help Abby's Heroes provide these services.
