I have a newly published book - 'Essential Skills for Physiotherapists: A Personal and Professional Development Framework'. This explores the vital intrapersonal and interpersonal skills that physiotherapists need for continuous growth. These are rarely taught in academic courses, clinical training, and other physiotherapy textbooks – but they make all the difference for our patients!
This paved the way for an event at the Tate Modern, London, October 30th where I mentioned a huge 'why' behind this book for me...sharing all my royalties with CHI and Down Syndrome Ireland due to the care for my daughter, Grace.
Grace enjoys attending events hosted by Down Syndrome Ireland and wants to support her friends. #learnandgiveback
Down Syndrome Ireland is the voice of people with Down syndrome and their families throughout Ireland – there to support across all the life stages, from newborn to adult. With an annual expenditure of €4,145 million (records from 2021) and with only 23% State funding, we rely heavily on public fundraising and the generosity of communities, workplaces, schools, and individuals.
