Story
Over 1000 rangers have lost their lives since 2003, protecting what is left of Africa’s wildlife heritage.
In just a few generations the numbers of animals in Africa have been decimated and these Ranges, the 'Thin Green Line', put their lives at risk on a daily basis to preserve what is left, and in time hopefully grow their numbers again.
I am running a 230km ultramarathon across Kenya's national parks over five days for ForRangers and Save the Rhino International, running with the Rangers themselves to raise money for these brilliant people who protect all the animals in the parks.
This money will go towards equipment, life insurance, education, shelters and food to help maintain this hardy bunch of rangers out in the wilderness, who live in daily danger from the conditions, the animals themselves and from poachers who attack them and the animals they protect.
Rangers are the everyday heroes who put their lives on the line to ensure our planets endangered wildlife is protected for us and our childen to enjoy for years to come.
