On the 7th of June I am getting out of my comfort zone and taking part in an abseil to raise money for the much needed redevelopment of Rotherham Minster. An important part of the project is to reduce the environmental impact of running the building by replacing the gas heating with a lower carbon alternative as part of our aim to achieve net zero carbon.

I am going to be descending a long way(!!) from the bell tower right into the very heart of the Minster. It is certainly a view of the building that very few people will have seen before!!

The Minster is a really important part of Rotherham and does great work to support thousands of people each year through many initiatives, including its food bank.

I really hope you will be able to support me as I take this leap of faith!!
