Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My partner Dave Bone is participating in The Raid, a 50 mile Cross Border Cycling Sportive which is being held in North Cumbria in September 2023. It's a little while since he cycled this distance but is very much looking forward to it.

Dave is taking on the challenge in order to raise much needed funds for St.Johns Hospice to help them in the vital and incredible work that they do for so many in the local community.

They have recently helped not only our neighbour George but also friends and work colleagues. George was very much a character who was full of life. He played a very active part in the local community and always had the ability to make people laugh. He was always there for anyone who required help. The care and support given by all the staff at the hospice was truly amazing not just for him but also for all his family

Dave hopes that by taking on this challenge he can at least help, by raising as much as possible, to support the fantastic work of St John’s Hospice and ensure that it remains able to offer care to those who need it most.
