As many people will know from before when I enter a running event I like to do it in a fancy dress costume primarily to highlight the charity and raise as much money as possible.

This has been successful in the past with many kind donations for the banana costume and the big poppy

So this time I am pushing the boundaries and running in a Lancaster Bomber costume which is probably my biggest challenge yet

I was inspired to build this costume through the work I do at East Kirkby on Just Jane and the fact that it is the 80th anniversary of the Dambusters

What better way to showcase this than at Woodhall Spa and at the same time raise money for this wonderful charity that does incredible work for service personnel.

This will be the first time I have run in this costume so there could be problems but as long as it puts a smile on people’s faces I have done my job.
