Blood Bikes Cumbria is a Registered Charity 1159026 established by local volunteers formed as medical courier service to deliver essential blood, urgent medical supplies, free of charge and out of hours for the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust between premises in North and West Cumbria and hospitals/laboratories in the Newcastle area.

In critical situations, blood or other medical items need to be delivered urgently in order to save a patient’s life. Blood Bikes Cumbria, with their distinctive livery and narrow profile, can quickly get through busy traffic to reach their destination.
