Story

A team from the White Lion Pub are doing a 60 mile walk over 2 days, from Llangollen to Crewe to try and raise as much sponsorship as possible in aid of Jon Shaw Foundation. The team consists of Jackie Stubbs, Dave Yoxall, Kerry Vickers, Adam Vickers, Dave Butler, Sam Butler, Oli Woodward, Kirsty Butler, Martin Panepinto, Kerry Piggott, with Ray Jenks providing vehicle support over the two days.

The Jon Shaw foundation was set up in memory of Jon, who died aged 19 from SUDEP (SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH IN EPILEPSY) in June 2019. The charity aims to -

1. Support young people with epilepsy by providing grants for equipment such as alarms, monitors and other safety aids not normally available through NHS.

2. Provide services and activities to improve the mental health of bereaved siblings and close

friends including social events and face to face or group bereavement counselling.

3. Promote awareness of risks in epilepsy including SUDEP.
