Story
Thank you for reading.
It has now been over two years since we lost Mam and Dad, Mam was a always one to help others and support charity work.
Therefore as a few may know I have secured a ballot place to run the London Marathon in April 2024 but due to illness defered to 2025.
I decided to raise money for St Benidicts Hospice in Sunderland that cared for Mam both in their centre and also enabled her to remain with Aunt Janeann where she wanted to be.
Mam was scared of the idea of a Hospice, but St Benidicts Hospice soon won her over with their sense of personal care and also the centre its self. My Mam wasn't easily impressed but when she spoke about being there she said "nothing is ever too much bother, they really look after me". We spoke open before she passed about charities and raising some money instead of flowers that would simply die. She was clear St Benedicts was the one she felt did the most for her when she needed it.
Therefore thought I would like to say thank you.
As I have a ballot place I have no pressure to raise anything and everything raised goes to St Benidicts Hospice in Sunderland to continue the amazing work they do. So if you can, I know times are hard but donate a couple of quid that would be amazing.
But
To continue the training and motivation we have decided as a family that we will do an event together. So in a house where running is not a speciality we have entered the Vitaility London 10k
