Story

The Broken Seal walkers are a Stevenage based group. We frequent the Broken Seal Tap room home to Six Hills Brewery in Stevenage Old Town. The Idea of this walk followed a chat with myself James Lewis and Jon and Hayley Conroy over a beer of course. James and I agreed to" manage" it and we got together to plan the route. Jon and Hayley had previously organised a tap take-over of Abbeydale Brewery in the tap room. They and Six Hills Brewery ran a free raffle and collected donations of The Brain Tumour Charity This really inspired us to do something for the charity. Hayley is a trustee and does a lot of awareness raising and volunteering for the charity. She and Jon have been personally impacted by brain tumours Jon's cousin sadly passed away from a tumour in 2018 and Hayley,s seven year old grandaughter who lives in Stevenage has been receiving treatment since she was 12 months old.

We chose the STOOP as both James and I and another mate have walked it in sections.www.nhrg.uk/stoop . Should give you information. We will take two days over it 25/26May .

The Charity is set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
