Story
On the 3rd of January my beautiful little niece Tiffy was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Like many I had never heard of this disorder so I’m running a trail ultramarathon and doing daily raffles on Facebook to raise funds and awareness for this charity that will be a massive support for not only Tiffany but for my sister Laura and her partner Ashley’s lives.
I’ll also be running an ultra marathon at Endurancelife Suffolk Ultra.
Despite all the difficulties and frustrations Tiffy doesn’t let it faze her. She’s always got the biggest grin on her face (unless you turn off Duggee) and she’s always there to give you a kiss and a cuddle especially if you have a book/chocolate or even alcohol in your hand! Her cheeky ways and infectious smile brings joy to all of our lives and we couldn’t be any prouder of her. She’s a little inspiration.
Tiffany is only 1 of 3 people in Suffolk diagnosed with Rett syndrome. Rett UK receive NO government funding so rely entirely on donations and grants to fund their amazing work.
Rett UK is there to pick up the pieces; emotional support, high quality, accurate advice & information, advocacy, reducing isolation, empowering families, building emotional resilience and helping the person with Rett syndrome live a life worth living.
• With £5 you could help distribute our National Best Practice guidelines
• With £10 you help a parent access that vital telephone support
• With £20 you can buy one hour of support for a newly diagnosed family
Please donate if you can or share our page so that Rett UK can continue to support and help improve communication for Tiffy and those others with Rett Syndrome.
Thank you.
