Event: The Dartmoor Drop for Hospiscare, from 16 September 2023 to 17 September 2023
New for 2023, Hospiscare are proud to introduce The Dartmoor Drop. Our brave supporters will be testing their nerve and making the 110 ft descent from Meldon Viaduct to the valley floor below, all to raise vital funds for local charity, Hospiscare.

Story

On the 16th September, myself and my stepson Saul have been roped into taking on a challenge by Saul’s dad, Jonathan. To help raise vital funds for our local hospice, Hospiscare, the three of us will be taking our courage in both hands and abseiling 110ft down from Meldon Viaduct to the valley floor below.

Hospiscare is a local charity which cares for terminally ill patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Their teams of doctors and nurses offer specialist palliative and end-of-life care to ensure that patients can make the most of the time they have left. It’s a really important part of the local healthcare system and as a charity, it relies on donations to keep its services going.

We know the past couple of years have been hard for everyone, but we want to help ensure Hospiscare can continue to be there for the community now and in the future. Please help us make a difference and give whatever you can. Every donation helps and your support would mean the world to us. Thank you very much
