Story

We want to make them proud and try and help families who find themselves in similar situations’

Noah and Wilf’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Charity Challenge, 7th July 2024

24 hours, 3 peaks and a lot of miles for WISHH and the Stroke Association and in memory of cousin George & grandma Janice.

We are two friends Noah and Wilf and we are embarking on a 24 hour challenge to conquer the Three Peaks in Yorkshire to raise money for charities that are close to our hearts.

Both of us have recently experienced the loss of a loved family member. We are Noah and Wilf, friends from Scarcroft Primary School Yr 6 in York, aged 11 and getting ready to embark on a 24 hour challenge to conquer the Three Peaks in Yorkshire to raise money for charities that are close to our hearts.

We have both recently experienced the loss of a loved family member.

Noah’s cousin George lived with Menkes disease, and sadly died from this rare illness at the age of two. He and his parents spent lots of time in Hull Hospital, where they received wonderful support through a very difficult time. We would like to contribute to their work with other families who are struggling by supporting WISHH (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals).

Wilf’s Grandma (Janice) died following a sudden stroke at the age of seventy-eight and is very much missed. We would like to contribute to the Stroke Association to help support their work in helping stroke survivors and their loved ones.

We want to make them proud and try and help families who find themselves in similar situations.

The Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, all in one day. It's a tough trek covering 24.5 miles and 5,200 feet of ascent. We're training hard and are ready to face the challenge head-on on July 7th!

We would be so grateful for any donations and support, no matter how small. Your help will definitely make us more determined to finish this event and keep up going when the climb gets really tough! We really want to make a difference!

Thank you for reading. Any support would be seriously appreciated.

Thank you for helping us honour the memory of our beloved family members and making contributions that will change many lives of those in need.
