Story
At the Catholic Blind Institute (Charity Registration No 1102657) it is our vision to provide an environment in which our children, young people and adults are enabled to achieve a life of fulfilment, security and dignity, irrespective of disability, infirmity or age. Through St. Vincent’s School, we aim to support those affected by sight loss and other impairments.
At St Vincent’s school for the visually impaired, we help to enrich the lives of our pupils by giving them a specialised education using an adapted curriculum to suit the needs of each individual pupil’s needs and help them build the skill sets for them become independent citizens, with specialised mobility and independence training. Using an enriched curriculum, we aim to help children with visual impairments and other sensory needs gain more opportunities in the world of work once they leave full time education.
