Welcome to the Millbrook captains charity 2025/26

Our support this year goes to a heart condition called cardiomyopathy my wife rushed into hospital with pneumonia and at the time they thought she had had a heart attack further results landed on cardiomyopathy closely followed by open heart surgery the work of the amazing surgeons means Clare still walks amongst us.

Cardiomyopathy comes in four main areas and is known as heart muscle disease which leads to sudden death syndrome in adults. Famous names who have this condition are Christian Ericsson and Fabrice Muamba who both collapsed on football pitches .

The condition can be genetically passed. Your support will help to research the condition and maybe help save a family member.
