Story
For the last couple of years I have undertaken a challenge for Charity.
Last year I raised money alongside Jonathan Holmes by running 8.5 miles wearing my Enable PPE for Birmingham Settlement.
As someone who has suffered with their Mental Health, especially Christmas Day 2018 where I got to the point of being extremely close to taking my own life, this year I am supporting a Mental Health charity and am going to do something very scary, especially as not great with heights.
So on Friday 17th May I am going to do a tandem Skydive to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation - https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk
If you are suffering with your mental health then please reach out to those who can support you, the worst thing I did was to keep it all to myself, telling family, friends and work colleagues I was ok when actually I wasn't and because I didn't want to burden anyone with my issues, however talking was the best thing that helped me and its so important so please #keeptalking.
I am not embarrassed to admit how my mental health affected me but with counselling, especially talking, and medication I got back to the person I was and now I open up and don't keep it to myself.
I appreciate times are hard at the moment with the cost of living crisis but if you can donate any amount, doesn't matter how small, to support this great charity then it would be very much appreciated. My target is £500 Details of my just giving page are below and thanks in advance if you do donate
