Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know I’ve decided to go way above my comfort zone ( LITERALLY) and challenge myself to a wing walking for Parkinson’s disease.

My husband Andrew was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 years ago and the charity has been an absolute rock for us .

Sadly there is no cure for this horrific disease, there is no turning back time , no place to hide.

Being positive can be so hard for everyone especially like us if you have a young family that’s sometimes doesn’t understand why … Daddy can’t go to the park, is in pain , is tired, can drive today .

But there is always a reason to be grateful. We have the best Daddy , the best dad jokes , and we work around this illness as a young family together.

So i’m doing this wing walk to show how much I understand the fear of this illness , where will it be taking you to next . I’m taking control and saying we are stronger , crazier and willing to go that extra mile to support Andrew and anyone else living with this illness .

Supporting this event would mean the world to us ! And also you will get to hear and see me wing walking !

Please give to my challenge to provide an amazing hardworking charity to help others in Swansea and surrounding areas.

Thank you from my whole heart

Dara , Andrew and family

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
