Story
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of everyone who contributed to the success of our Liverpool Half Marathon fundraising. A big heartfelt thank you from all of us.
The money we have raised will fund the training of 100 Tough Talkers in suicide first aid and will help raise awareness.
Building on that success, in the run-up to the Liverpool Half Marathon, a friend of Dan's who now works for the London Marathon offered us a place in the 2024 event.
It was an opportunity I felt I could not pass up. Albeit with 8 weeks to train. I am delighted to be able to continue the fundraising for Dan and Tough to Talk. I will wear my purple Dan Kay t-shirt with pride.
Dan was a dedicated journalist, social justice campaigner, proud Liverpudlian and keen runner.
Dan was caring, warm, generous and compassionate. He also had an unshakeable passion for caring for others. He gave so much to others. It is fitting that Tough to Talk will continue to help others in need, with funds raised on his behalf.
The #ToughToTalk campaign is on a mission to tackle male suicide rates head-on. Through Suicide First Aid training in male-dominated spaces, raising awareness, and taking action, we're creating a legion of Tough Talkers supporting men in crisis.
Many Thanks,
Amos
