We Provide life changing opportunities to improve mental & emotional wellbeing

Story

I will be shaving my head on the 28th April at the Atlas Centres Quiz night and I would really appreciate any donation big or small, anybody who knows me knows how much I love my long ginger locks so I hope this shows how much this means to me!

And why am I doing this?

When Niall took ill when he was only born it sent me into a spiral of postnatal depression & anxiety with symptoms I still struggle to speak about today. Through my psychiatric nurse I was referred to Atlas Women’s Centre & I’m not sure I would be here without them. They where the first place help me manage and cope with my illness and not just tell me that ‘it will pass’ and hand me tablets. They taught me coping mechanisms, help me meet friends who where going through similar, looked after my kids and most of all genuinely cared about my well-being like family. They still continue to support me today & I’m so grateful.

Through regularly attending the centre I’ve got to know the amazing staff & all the hard work they do for so many women in lots of different capacities with their physical, emotional & mental well-being & providing lots of skills and education.

They provide a range of services and I want to support them to continue to provide this service.
