On the 13th October 2024 I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support the work of Learn to Love to Read.

Learn to Love to Read works in the London borough of Wandsworth, supporting children who are finding learning to read challenging or who are at risk of starting school poorly prepared for learning to read. Your donations will help continue and expand this important work, which is needed more than ever in the wake of Covid and current cost of living crisis.

Children who read regularly are more likely to overcome disadvantage that is caused by financial inequality, to do better at school and have higher self esteem. Improving children's reading directly impacts and increases their life chances.

This cause resonates with me especially as 2 of my children have had literacy issues and I, myself, am dyslexic. I know how hard it is to succeed when reading is a struggle. My children have shown me how literacy issues impact every part of your life.
