In the last couple of years I’ve been completely inspired by a young boy called Harvey from my hometown, Wallingford, who continued to smile and wanted to do something special with his life right up until he sadly passed away in September 2024.

I met Harvey when he came to BBC Radio Oxford to talk about his own amazing fundraising efforts but I’ve known his family my whole life. Harvey’s grandad works with my Dad and Harvey and the rest of his family mean the world to him.

As a small way of trying to help I would like to run the Reading Half Marathon 2025 memory of Harvey and to raise money for the Kamran Ward and Oxford Hospitals Charity; who made such a difference to help Harvey and his loving family during their hardest days.
