Story
I started to fundraise because I wanted to help persecuted Christians. This isn't about war this is about INNOCENT people who are affected.
Approximately 200,000 Christians reside in the Holy Land, with approximately 37,000 Palestinian Christians in the West Bank, 10,000 in East Jerusalem, and 1,000 in Gaza. The majority of Christians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are employed in the tourism sector. However, the cancellation of pilgrimages and holidays due to the ongoing conflict has left many without means of support. The Christian population in the West Bank faces additional hardships from military raids.
Assistance from ACN is directed towards the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, overseen by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa. This diocese covers Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. ACN's aid also extends to the Vicariate for Migrants and Asylum Seekers (VMAS), a part of the Latin Patriarchate. VMAS, established to support the Church's efforts in organizing, serving, and catechizing the Christian migrant population, aids over 100,000 Christians of diverse nationalities. Many of these individuals had previously held low-wage jobs in Gaza, which they lost due to the impact of the war.

What ACN means to me?
ACN (International) has extended substantial support to Christians in the Holy Land by delivering two emergency aid packages to the Latin Patriarchate in response to the conflict in Gaza. The total value of these packages amounts to nearly £600,000 (€700,000). The first aid package, announced in November 2023, is valued at £165,000 (€190,000), while the second package, announced in January 2024, is worth £430,000 (€500,000).

Why ACN?
‘ACN (U.K.) is able to get aid into the West Bank and East Jerusalem and elsewhere where Christians are suffering acutely because of the conflict. Government sanctions however prohibit ACN (U.K.) from sending aid into Gaza but help is getting through to this area via other national offices of the charity.’
ACN (UK) adheres to a policy of unwavering political neutrality, both domestically and internationally. Our engagement with UK Parliamentarians and public figures is conducted in a non-partisan fashion, strictly following the guidance and instructions of our project partners. This collaboration aims to raise awareness about specific situations and elicit support from the UK Government on behalf of our partners.
