Story
On November 5th, I will be running 26.2 miles to raise awareness for the cancer and power wheelchair communities.
I run in memory of my mother, Gina Cava, who lost her battle with breast cancer and my uncle, Larry Evola, who lost his battle with glioblastoma. They would be amazed by the work done by JDJ Foundation and would be the first two on the sidelines cheering us on. Though I miss them each day, I know that being able to run the NYC Marathon (something my mom would never want me to actually do) and fundraising will help families that have been affected by cancer just like my family has.
Every dollar donated will have a direct impact and be put towards helping a family in need. Last year I ran the NYC Marathon and was able to raise over $5,000.00 that go directly to help families in the cancer and power wheelchair communities. Can I count on your support to match or beat that number?
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
