Story
We would love to introduce our new addition to St Vincent's Centre, Southend, Vinnie.
Vinnie will be our new mascot for the centre and will have a special role as our Therapy Dog. As people are aware, we are a trauma informed centre and Vinnie will support the work we do.
Rosensam Spaniels are a 5 Star council licensed and kennel club assured breeders of cocker spaniels and cockapoos. They wanted to donate a puppy to ST Vincent’s to train as a therapy dog as they know that their puppies have the perfect temperament for such a role. They are confident that Vinnie will make a huge difference to the people that use the centre. Melissa and Roger are very much looking forward to following Vinnie's journey and they will support him and ST Vincent’s in any way they can.
A therapy dog promotes improvement of your health by giving emotional support. They support a person's mental health by providing attention and comfort. Their sweet demeanour and unconditional love may have a therapeutic benefit to those who face difficult health challenges. Unlike service dogs, however, anyone can enjoy a therapy dog.
As you maybe aware, pets cost money so we are doing a fundraiser to support Vinnie's expenses so that he can bring so much joy and comfort to so many who we support at our centre.
For those that know, we support pets for people struggling so any excess money will be used to support them. We also accept donations of pet food and dog items that can be given to people we support..
