Tea, Cake and Family Quiz for Blue Sunday 2025

Tea, Cake and Family Quiz for Blue Sunday · 18 May 2025
As a child, growing up, I experienced the unfairness of M.E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) watching my Mum suffer with symptom after symptom. I witnessed her frustration, her periods of ill health and improved health, and her determination to not be beaten by this debilitating illness. Fast forward to 2018, and, I too was diagnosed with the same debilitating illness; a new world of pacing, recognising my own limits and having to say no.
Blue Sunday is an annual event set up by Anna Readshaw, a young lady who suffers from severe ME, who wanted to support some of the charities that have supported her and others who have ME. Every year, events are held from small tea parties, and a single cup of tea and piece of cake, to big community events, to raise money for this cause.
This year, I have chosen to hold a family quiz in aid of Blue Sunday, with team entry costs being donated to support Action for M.E.
Action for M.E aim to end the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by children and adults with M.E.
We're working to ensure children, young people, adults and families living with the illness are supported during this unprecedented time and beyond. Our dedicated team is here for anyone living with, or supporting someone with, M.E. of any age, anywhere in the UK.
