Story
We are attempting to cycle 200 miles in 2 days , mostly off road , in aid of the the RNLI , celebrating there 200 years of saving lives at sea anniversary
Damian Smail and John Vibert wanted to raise money for RNLI jersey and being keen cyclists thought , why not mix there hobby with raising money for an amazing charity
Damian is the station mechanic for St Helier lifeboat station and has been a volunteer for the last 6 1/2 years . John Vibert and his family have been life long supporters & donators for the charity
Our RNLI lifeboats in Jersey provide a 24-hour search and rescue service. They rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations at St Helier and St Catherines to launch from.
During the summer months are RNLI Lifeguards provide a beach lifeguard service at St Ouen, St Brelade's Bay, Plémont beach and Grève de Lecq beach.
The stunning coastline of Jersey is enjoyed by thousands of people every year. But the water remains an unpredictable environment that can catch people out. People will always need our help and we will always be there to answer that call.
Keeping a modern fleet of lifeboats maintained, fuelled and ever ready to go to the rescue is expensive and we rely entirely on voluntary donations to ensure this service is maintained. The impact of Covid-19 has meant we have been restricted in our ability to fundraise to keep our lifeboats afloat.
Your donation to this page will help support the running of Lifeboat and Lifeguard services in Jersey.
