I have chosen to run the Birmingham half marathon in aid of The Children of Worcestershire Cancer Fund; a local charity that supports poorly children and their families across Worcestershire receiving treatment for cancer.

Fundraising supports special events, projects and experiences that go above and beyond core NHS provision. A difficult side effect of treatment for many children is to experience difficulty with walking and our fund has helped to provide wheelchairs and push chairs for our patients who need them.

A very much loved tradition for our team it to purchase bespoke 'end of treatment' cakes when children complete their treatment.

The charitable funds also enables the purchase of Christmas gifts, food hampers, and transform the Children's Clinic into a wonderful Santa's Grotto.

As well as much needed practical support the fund also allows us to provide 'special memories' for the children and their families.
