Story
My mum and I, along with some of our teammates at Eastwood Town Cricket Club, are taking on the Trent Bridge Zipwire Challenge on Sunday 16th July in order to raise money for Forget Me Notts, which is run by the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
Forget Me Notts is a great initiative which offers free cafe sessions, sports activities, advice and peer support networks for those affected by dementia.
Over the past six years, Forget Me Notts has grown into a comprehensive service but their most recent funding cycle is coming to a close, so it is in urgent need of further funding to continue operating its current level.
Dementia care is something that my mum and I are really passionate about, having seen its impact firsthand through both my grandma and our involvement with Eastwood Memory Cafe. We're also very passionate about cricket, so being able to see Trent Bridge from a bird's eye view at 40mph whilst simultaneously raising money for a cause close to our hearts seemed like a no-brainer!
Eastwood Town Cricket Club Ladies would be really grateful if you could donate any amount to our #Donate4Dementia Zipwire Challenge to help us raise money for a great cause.
