Story
Daisy and I have our torches, walking boots and a purple dog lead for Star. Why? Because we are delighted to be taking part in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike on 5th October 2024, walking 10k, in the dark, around Ferry Meadows, Peterborough, without getting lost. What are the chances??
Our aim is to raise £200 which will fund eight hours of Sue Ryder’s expert care. The more we raise the more hours of expert care you are providing with your support.
Sue Ryder is there to make sure that everyone approaching the end-of-life or living with grief can access the support they need.
My mum, Margaret, as Mayor’s secretary, had the privilege of working with Lady Sue Ryder, to open Thorpe Hall as Peterborough’s hospice in 1991. Mum said she was an amazing woman and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with her. Daisy and I hope you will support us to continue Lady Sue Ryders wonderful legacy to Peterborough.
