Story
Please join us in our effort to support the Spain Flood Relief Fund.
As many of you will know, we have had a home in the Valencia region for many years, and wanted to help in any way we could. We have many friends on the ground who are currently assisting with shovelling away the many tonnes of mud and debris that has been left by the floodwaters.
As we are obviously in London, we wanted to do something to help from here.
As a starting point, Harri and Dafydd are taking on the challenge of swimming as many laps of the Brockwell Lido open pool as possible, aiming for 5000 meters (100 lengths) over the next few weeks. We have our wet suits at the ready.
The recent flooding in the Valencian Community has caused unprecedented devastation, with a year's worth of rain falling in just one day. The urgent need for shelter, food, clean water, and medical assistance is critical as communities work to recover.
Harri is also keen to raise money for the animal rescue charity in order to assist them in their efforts to save and recover the many abandoned cats and dogs.
Your donations will directly help flood survivors throughout affected communities in Spain, providing immediate needs such as food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter.
As needs evolve, the fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted nonprofits.
Thank you in advance
Harri and Dafydd
