Story

Here we go folks, I'm finally putting myself out there and going to push myself to my limits and beyond. In May I am going to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon! I turn 40 this year and I really want to show my kids and the people around me that we can all achieve far more than we think we can.

I've been running on/off for a few years now to help manage my mental health but this is far more than that. This is about pushing myself right out of my comfort zone both physically and mentally.

In doing this I'm hoping you'll support me by helping me to raise funds to support Dads Rock! Will you chip in?

You may or may not know that this year I joined Dads Rock and am again supporting dads to be the best that they can for their kids and themselves. This is work that I love and truly believe in and now I get to do that for a charity that truly gets it. But in order to do that they need people like you and me to support them.

Dads Rock offers a range of free and low-cost programs and services, including weekly playgroups, parenting workshops and courses, music tuition at the Dads Rock Academy, one-on-one support for vulnerable young dads, and general support for dads and their families, with a focus on positive mental health. They've been running for over 11 years and have supported thousands of dads in the progress. As a small and local Scottish charity, any donation will go far in supporting their work!
