David was a keen walker throughout his life. He took great joy in the beauty of his surroundings and had a particular love of woodland settings. Near his home in Milton Keynes, David regularly walked in the Woburn woods with Ruth and their dogs and he also loved the very special woods in Dartmoor. He took an active interest in the conservation and preservation of woodland areas including many (including Dartmoor) which were preserved by the Woodland Trust. A donation to Woodland Trust would be a fitting tribute to one of the causes close to David’s heart.
