Story

YOU CAN SPONSOR THE TEAM or click a team member to GO TO AN INDIVIDUAL PAGE TO SPONSOR ONE PERSON. All goes to one total!

On 22nd and 23rd June, a group of us, family and friends of the Snell family, are planning a cycle ride 152 miles around Herefordshire over 2 days to increase awareness of Frontotemporal Dementia, improve support for those affected, and contribute towards research.

We are fundraising in aid of two charities: The National Brain Appeal's Rare Dementia Support Fund and Race Against Dementia. Please support us by making a donation!

Most of us know someone affected by dementia, and understand a little about its devastating effects on individuals and families.

However, fewer of us understand about the less common dementias, particularly those that affect younger people.

Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) is a group of dementias which mainly affects personality and behaviour or language and speech, depending on which areas of the brain are affected.

Rare Dementia Support (RDS) is a world-leading, UK-based service provided by the UCL Dementia Support Centre and partners and funded by the National Brain Appeal. https://www.raredementiasupport.org/

RDS supports people affected by 7 of the rare dementias, including carers and families.

Race Against Dementia was founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE after his wife Helen's FTD diagnosis. It funds early-career researchers to accelerate progress towards a cure for dementia. https://www.raceagainstdementia.com/

The money we raise will be divided equally between the two charities.
