Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Slater Cup 'Cycle4MND' Challenge JustGiving page.
In July 2022 Gloucester Rugby & former Leicester Tigers captain Ed Slater announced his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and thus the 4Ed campaign was created to raise awareness and funds in support of Ed and his family’s battle with the disease. What followed was an outpouring of support, generosity, and kindness from the rugby family across the globe.
A group of like minded Leicester Tigers & Gloucester Rugby Fans wanted to come together do our bit to continue raising vital awareness and funds for the MND community, and have teamed up with the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association charity, & the '4Ed' campaign to cycle approximately 150km 4MND from Gloucester Rugby to Leicester Tigers for The Slater Cup game at Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium on the weekend of 22 March 2024.
All proceeds from this page will go directly to the 4Ed campaign, which is now officially part of the Gloucester Rugby Foundation, supporting one of our own, Ed Slater, his family, and the wider MND community.
Thank you for your kindness in raising awareness and funds 4Ed and the MND community.
