Story
Waterstons Cyber Division is taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge when MFA will become a Mountainous Fundraising Activity.
On the 4th July we embark on climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales finishing (hopefully) within 24 hours. Each of our UK office locations has a local charity to support with London raising money for Brightest Stars.
Brightest Stars helps children and families when they need it most, following the death of a loved one. Our Head of Cyber Consulting Kieran has a son who is good friends with Alf (middle), who tragically lost his dad, Mike, a couple years ago.
It was in the midst of dealing with this loss, Helen, Alf's Mum and Mike's wife founded Brightest Stars.
Brightest stars offers counselling, play therapy and face to face bereavement support for children and their families following the death of a loved one.
Unfortunately support for families in these situations is often lacking. Brightest Stars fills the support gap but it is expensive to offer, approximate costs for their services are below:
Bouncy castle hire - £180
1:1 play therapy session for a child - £65
Family counselling session - £95
5 day “holiday” camp for 1 child during school holidays - £190
A UK based summer holiday for a family of 4 who would otherwise not be able to afford it - £1000
1 hours legal advice relating to executing a will - £100
Games arcade hire for one of our sessions - £300
Catering for one of our sessions - £100
A birthday party for a child who would otherwise not have a party - £350
So please join the Waterstons Cyber Division in making life a bit brighter for children like Alf.
Donate now and be part of the journey to brighter tomorrows for children facing bereavement.
