Story
This month as part of our Birmingham CSI fundraising activities we will be supporting PAPYRUS.
Sadly, our colleague Richard Scott lost his eldest son Jack to suicide at the end of September. Whilst this is a very difficult time for Richard and his family they hope fundraising for this charity and reminding people of the importance to have open conversations with family, friends, and colleagues about how they are feeling and sign posting them to the support that is available to help prevent pain and loss.
PAPYRUS the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide is dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.
PAPYRUS suicide prevention helpline, HOPELINE247, is staffed by trained suicide prevention advisers, who work with young people – and anybody concerned for a young person – to help keep them safe from suicide. HOPELINE247 is a free and confidential call, text and email service, which is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year (weekends and bank holidays included).
Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
