The Crypt School's fundraiser for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity

The Big Space Cancer Appeal is raising funds for a new cancer centre in Cheltenham that will offer local patients the very best environment for treatment, healing and recovery, creating space to care, talk, think, recover, rest and innovate.
Lions at Large, Gloucestershire’s first ever Wild in Art sculpture trail, will be ‘roaring’ onto the streets of Cheltenham and Gloucester next Summer, raising both awareness and money for this vital appeal. Over 30 majestic lion sculptures will be individually painted by local artists; with streets, parks and open spaces dazzling with their vibrant colours and surprising designs.

We are very excited to share that The Crypt School has signed up to design and decorate one of the ‘little lions’ that will also feature on the trail! Y10 students are finalising their design which links to themes of courage and care whilst recognising we are all part of a bigger picture.
As part of this project, The Crypt School will be raising funds for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, who are organising the trail to support the funding of this important new cancer centre, which will serve the whole community, and which will be based at Cheltenham Hospital. In 2023, our school community raised over £10,000 for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity and we want to do even better this time. With everyone's support, we think we can both match and exceed that amount. Please give what you can to support our school's fundraising efforts on behalf of this vitally important new cancer centre.
You can find out more about The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail at lionsatlarge.co.uk and there are also a number of sponsorship opportunities for any local businesses who would like to support this amazing project: for sponsorship opportunities please email ghn-tr.lionsatlarge@nhs.net.
