Rotary Club of Maidstone Riverside are planning to raise as much money as we can for Demelza, and other charities, including Crossroads Young Carers project by running a Swim Relay!!!
Crossroads will be entering a team/s of staff and young carers, to attempt to swim as many lengths in the given time, to raise funds for both Crossroads and Demelza.
About the Charities:
Maidstone Riverside Rotary Trust has been raising money for charities since 1992. All of the money raised by the Trust is paid out to charities. All of the money raised in Swim Relay will be paid out to Demelza and other nominated charities, including Crossroads.
Demelza delivers extraordinary care to extraordinary children who are facing serious or life-limiting conditions, throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. We’re here to support them and their families at every step – from first diagnosis and for as long as we’re needed.
Crossroads supports young carers from the age of 5yrs to their 18th birthday, by offering support through regular group sessions, respite days out and residential breaks, giving them the chance to enjoy their childhood and forget about their responsibilities for a short time.
Please do support us if you can.
