There are 508,430 people in the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC 34-county service area who do not know when or from where their next meal will come. Do you know what that feels like? Can you even imagine what that might feel like? 164,510 of those people are children who need food to grow up healthy and strong. There are another 180,467 senior adults in those counties living at or below the poverty level. What if those children were your grandchildren, nieces, nephews or next-door neighbors? What if those senior adults were your parents or grandparents, or even you? Last year, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC distributed 80,965,972 meals to those in need. Crossbridge Financial Group is proud to be a part of the Food Bank's efforts each year. Every dollar raised provides 5 meals to those in need in our communities. And $ .97 of every dollar donated goes directly to providing food and food programs. The other $ .03 goes to pay for administration and fundraising. And right now, corporate sponsors will double our donations, increasing the purchasing power of each dollar to 10 meals.
