Story
In honour of Baby Loss Awareness week Cristina and Nicola will be challenging themselves to run 1 mile per hour for 26 hours (in order to total a marathon) in October in memory of all the babies lost due and raising money alongside Forever Stars for the local Early Pregnancy Unit.
Miscarriage is the most common kind of pregnancy loss, affecting around one in four pregnancies. Despite its prevalence, the emotional toll it takes on families often goes unspoken, leading to a silent suffering that many endure.
Forever Stars want to provide as much support as possible to support those who experience baby loss. Their 'Supporting 1 in 4 for 2024’ campaign aims to raise £50,000 to completely redesign and refit the A23 garden at the QMC, turning it into a comforting and appropriate space for patients and their families dealing with miscarriage.
