Story

Dear friends,

I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support. I am planning to run 2 Ultramarathons, a 100km on 1st July and then a 100 mile race before the end of this year, to raise funds in memory of a close family friend, Connor Corbin, who passed away from cancer 2 years ago aged 16.

Connor was a kind, caring, energetic and enthusiastic teenager, a very talented footballer and athelete and was also passionate Chelsea supporter.

Connor was not only a very close friend to both of my kids but also meant so much to everyone who knew him.

During his battle with cancer, he showed tremendous bravery and resilience and was always smiling and joking with the nurses, despite his gruelling treatment. His attitude throughout was a true inspiration and is something that will stay with me forever.

In memory of Connor, I am raising funds for Amelia's Rainbow by running the Salomon Serpent Trail 100km on 1st July and then aim to complete a 100 mile race before the end of this year.

Amelia"s Rainbow is a small local charity who support children in Dorset with disabilities or serious, chronic terminal illnesses by providing grants, gifts and respite as well as supporting the families of the child throughout the treatment and beyond.

Please consider donating as little or as much as you can to help support Amelia's Rainbow and honor the memory of Connor who is sorely missed by us all.

Thank you so much for your support. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

AMELIAS RAINBOW

Amelias Rainbow is celebrating 10 years of supporting children with disabilities and serious illness. The charity was named after Amelia Grace Cooper who sadly passed away from an aggressive cancer in 2010. Her fight and generosity inspired her family to start the charity in her name to help other children in a similar position. Over the last 10 year we have supported hundreds of children by enhancing their play, learning or achievement. The pandemic gave us an opportunity to assess our services and we noticed an increased demand for our holiday home and beach hut and we also now have many youngsters who have a disability so need adapted facilities. In our tenth year we are fundraising towards a wheelchair adapted caravan. We need help to raise £100,000. This will cover all costs of the caravan so we can offer over 50 holiday a year to families.Your donations and fundraising will have a huge impact of the well-being & lives of families who need
