I’m proud to share that I have recently taken on the role of President of Southminster Bowls Club. This is a responsibility I take very seriously, and I am dedicating my tenure to raising funds for The Alzheimer’s Society.

This cause is deeply personal to me. My grandfather, a wonderful role model, was tragically affected by this silent illness. As a family, we did everything we could to make his life as comfortable as possible during his struggle.

Every small amount raised will go toward supporting those affected by this devastating disease and funding life-changing research. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, and one in three people born in the UK today will develop the disease in their lifetime. Your support gives people living with dementia help and hope, for today and the future. It is only because of you, that The Alzheimer's Society can continue to give vital support to those living with dementia, fund ground-breaking research and campaign to make dementia the priority it should be.

My hope is that, one day, dementia will no longer destroy lives.
