Story
Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for St. John's Ambulance. This amazing organization is made up of trained volunteers who selflessly provide emergency treatment to people in their region, often being dispatched by NHS ambulance control to 999 calls. They truly are unsung heroes, dedicating their time and skills to saving lives.
Now here’s the reason they are extra special to me.
In 2019, my nan had a deveststing heart attack, we were terrified that we were going to lose her. It was in that moment of utter despair that St. John's Ambulance came to our rescue. Their quick response and expert care bought my nan precious time, which ultimately led to her recovery. Thankfully after an emergency operation and 4 heart stents she was a brand new woman, she practically had a full on MOT!
Nan is the rock of our family, the one who holds us all together. She is selfless and will do anything for anyone. I am so lucky that I get to call her my Nan because she is really one in a million. She raised me since I was a little girl teaching me invaluable life lessons and guiding me through both the good and the challenging times. Without the efforts of the ambulance service, I cannot imagine what life would be like without her.
I want to give back and show my gratitude by raising funds for St. John's Ambulance. I'm stepping up to the challenge, pushing through the pain and blisters and running my little heart out to show my support. So, here's the deal. I need you to dig deep, deeper than the hole I'll inevitably collapse into after this marathon, and help me smash my fundraising goals. Every penny counts.
Thank you from the bottom of my slightly deluded, marathon-running heart for your generous support. Together, we'll make this fundraising campaign a ride filled with laughter, laughs and maybe a few tears of joy (or just sweat, lots of sweat).
