Story

Hi, thank you for coming to my fundraising page and for your support! 😁

I am lucky enough to be running the London Marathon 2024 for the charity Fight for Sight on Sunday 21st April 2024, this is in memory of my wonderful Grandad Colin Toombs, who suffered with a condition causing sight loss known as Macular Dystrophy. Unfortunately, my Dad also inherited this condition and had to give up working in October last year due to the impairment of his own vision. At 16 years old, I was also diagnosed with the condition and will likely follow in the footsteps of my Grandad and Dad with the deterioration of my own sight.

Unfortunately, Sight loss doesn’t care who you are or where you are from; anyone can be affected.

The fight against sight loss is on the cusp of many breakthroughs, but they urgently need the funding to get there. Your donation to help me hit my target will help fund that research, and create a world everyone can see.

Thank you again for any support you are able to give!!

wish me luck!
