Story
As part of the May Walking Challenge, the Costain engineering team are arranging a fundraising walk for Samaritans in memory of our former colleague Josh Meldrum, who died in 2021.
We plan to walk the Sefton Coastal Path from Crosby Marine Park to Southport on May 31st to raise some money for Samaritans and remember a valued colleague and friend. People are welcome to join for all or part of the walk.
If you’d like to join us, please contact Stuart Evans or Jon Barritt and we’ll add you our Teams site. We’d like participants to contribute a £10 entry fee as a donation to our Just Giving site, and those who are unable to join are also welcome to contribute also.
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans answers a call for help and in 2022, there wasn't a single second where Samaritans weren't on the phone to someone.
People contact Samaritans for a variety of reasons, including family issues, worries about money, health and mental health, and thoughts of suicide. Whatever you're going through, a Samaritan will face it with you.
Samaritans is needed now more than ever. Your donations will help Samaritans answer life-changing, potentially life-saving calls for help.
