Story
After finishing 8th on our first attempt at the Dragon Boat race last year Anne's Army are back again to raise funds for the Severn Hospice in the 2024 Race. This year we are theming ourselves on the 1990s film cool runnings!
Feel the rhythm, Feel the rhyme, get on up, it's dragon boat time....... Cool runnings!!!!
It's been 8 years since Anne was diagnosed with Cancer for the second time and since taking the difficult decision late in 2022 not to have any further treatment the Severn Hospice have been there to support both her and Dad.
Anne is one of the most amazing ladies in the world who I have the privilege of calling my step mom. In her younger years she raised lots of money for charity doing everything from skydiving and wing walking through to running a marathon and even shaving her head!
I, along with several family members and close friends, have decided to do the Dragon Boat Race to raise money for the hospice during this time that they are providing so much support to Anne. I am sure that if Anne was fitter she would want to be in the boat with us!!
Please give what you can to this fantastic charity.

Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help.
It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you. For every £1 you donate, the hospice will spend 87p directly on care – and use the remaining 13p to make another £1.
Last year, all those individual donations meant the hospice could be there when it mattered for 3,000 local families.
