Conveyancing's fundraiser for Mindstep Foundation - British Conveyancing Awards

As proud charity partners of the prestigious 2025 British Conveyancing Awards, we are committed to making a significant impact within the property industry and beyond.
This year, all funds raised at the awards will support the Mindstep Foundation. This incredible charity focuses on funding mental health research, raising awareness, and providing support for those affected. Alarmingly, over 80 men in England and Wales die by suicide every week—that’s more than 11 every day, and over 4,000 each year. Suicide is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 and the biggest killer of men under the age of 50.
By investing in research to understand the causes of suicide and promoting awareness of mental health warning signs, the Mindstep Foundation seeks to challenge the stigma around mental health. Their efforts aim to encourage more open conversations and ensure that individuals, particularly young men, receive the help they need.
The charity was founded by the family of Max Davies, who died by suicide in 2018 at the age of 22 following a short period of depression. In Max’s memory, the family are striving to ensure that others do not suffer the loss of a loved one to suicide.
A quote from Georgia Davies, Trustee of the charity and Max’s sister:
“We are very honoured to be the charity partner for the British Conveyancing Awards and are grateful to the organisers and all those attending for their support of the Mindstep Foundation. Unfortunately, we know that the ripple effects of someone dying by suicide is vast and that this is an issue at the heart of so many.
The funds raised at this event will help support vital research at the University of Glasgow that help us to find the answers about why people die by suicide and what we can do to prevent it. The potential for this research is significant for all those at risk of suicide and their loved ones. We are grateful for any contributions that can help support this important work.”
