A group of bereaved parents who have had a pregnancy or baby loss at UHNM have requested a quiet outdoor area for contemplation.

Story

A group of bereaved parents who have had a pregnancy or baby loss at UHNM have requested a quiet outdoor area for contemplation.

The proposal is a statue of a forget me not flower in an area at Royal Stoke that can be accessed by families and staff.

The statue will be funded by UHNM Charitable funds and funds raised by patients and their families and employees of Maternity and Neonatal services.

On Saturday 20th July 2024, staff teams from across the Bereavement Centre, Maternity and the Neonatal Unit will be taking part in Trentham Park Run. At this fundraising event, we will walk, jog, or run 5k (3.1 miles) around Trentham Gardens and all funds that we raise will go towards the new Pregnancy & Baby Loss Contemplation Area here at RSUH.
