Fundraising for MND Scotland
MND Scotland is a charity that is close to my heart, they do amazing work for people and families living with this horrible disease that robs you of your life.
I am dedicating this fundraiser and walk to my late aunty Gwen who was a beautiful soul and had the most contagious laugh, anytime she would come down visit with my cousins I was the happiest wee boy and would sit and wait hours for them all coming to visit, it is such a shame for my aunty to go threw this and it is tough to see even tho I seen so little of the toll is actually took but I did see it and it is horrible to see.
MND is a disease that can rapidly or slowly shut your body down, it stops signals getting sent from your Brain to muscles which over time makes you weaker and weaker until you are paralysed and sadly pass away.
Me and my mum were suppose to go and visit my aunty Gwen who stayed at the top of Scotland we left to go visit and stop along the way at portmahomack so I could visit my brother and sister and family friend, we were halfway there to my auntys, so we stayed the night and was planning on leaving in the morning to go up and see my aunty but sadly that morning my mum came into the room to sadly break the news to me that her sister my aunty had passed away just a matter of hours before we could of went up this is how cruel and fast MND can take someone away from you, I think anyone diagnosed with this disease are amazing people that are very brave and keep strong for there families it is the most horrible disease I have witnessed and I hope the future can bring some cure to this.
MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.
We want a world without Motor Neuron Disease, so I’m fundraising because I want to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
Sponsoring me will also help MND Scotland to provide practical, financial, and emotional support to people affected by MND.
Thank you!
